Default 1973 Paint Code Production Numbers----WHERE Can I Find Them????

I would be very interested to know where I could find out how many 945 (Blue-Green) cars were made in 1973. I know this was a one year only color. Is there anyplace that has the production numbers? I've searched high and low here and can't find them anywhere

Thanks!!

Dave

I checked the Corvette Black Book only to find no color quantities are listed for '73. Likewise for the NCRS Pocket Guide; factory colors are listed, but no quantities. It's possible there are no records available for your blue-green.

Thanks for checking, Mike!

I looked in the black book 1st as well...nothing there for any years. Checked the NCRS website as well...no luck there either.

Hopefully someone knows if those numbers exist

I found this:

According to the "Corvette Black Book" by Mike Antonick, exterior color production numbers are not available from Chevrolet and other color combinations were possible. As stated in the book: "It is believed however, that in a addition to the colors listed, about 30 cars were painted black at St. Louis assembly.

Thanks for the information!

I figured that getting or findiing that information was a "long shot"...but you never know until you ask. I don't feel so bad now not being able to find the info on all of my other searches

Interesting about the possible 30 black cars though...

Ah, more interesting missing Corvette data - kind of like trying to figure out why the only C4 year missing convertible versus coupe color data is 1995. I checked all my references and came up empty...

...if you get a chance can you post a picture of your 1973? I don't believe I've ever seen that color.

Dave,
Good luck with your search. I came up empty as well.
However there appears to be two in Indianapolis.
What about yours, Coupe or Roadster?
