Everything you want is in the assembly instruction manual (AIM), including the original part numbers and how the vents were installed. Order an AIM. If the previous owner actually glassed over the old in order to install the newer, you may want to consider replacing the fenders. That task might be easier and give better results than trying to undo the prior 'glassing. Good luck.

I didn't think of the AIM which I have. I looked at it but the drawing is obscure. The fiberglass looks like from the inside fender should peel off with only slight damage. It needs a complete paint anyway.

There is a horizontal ledge (lip) that extends inward on the top and bottom edges of the openings. These bottom ledges have a built in metal clip that contains the single threaded stud that protrudes from the center bottom of the side louver piece that inserts in the openings. A shouldered captured nut is used to thread on to the stud.

The upper ledge has two holes that metal clips are inserted onto and a screw attaches thru the side louver and into the upper ledge with metal clip.

There are only three attaching points for each side louver.

thanks. I know see those ledges i thought they were paart of the "custom" repair. I'll let you know how it goes.
