Default Black PF 35 Oil Filters

I know that black PF25 oil filters are correct for my '88.
Are black PF 35 oil filters factory correct for any Vette?
I understand the best way to describe them is a longer version of the PF 25

No Corvettes ever came from the factory with PF35 oil filters. The 35's were used on big blocks but only in truck applications, the factory used black filters on the production lines (in the late 80's & early 90's) but the GM over the counter filters were corporate blue.

I used that filter once, don't ask. It fit ok, but when I shut the car off there was smoke coming out of the hood. The filter is longer and close to the exhaust pipe which made the filter smoke, and also it became soft. Stay with PF25, I do now.
