C4 intake parts: do stock parts changes affect NCRS judging?
I have a 1990 and a potential buyer of my stock intake parts has a 1991 vette.......the plenum and manifold have casting numbers on them, and there's a question as to whether a swap with these 2 items will affect judging......in other words, do the casting numbers cross-reference to a particular year?
I think that a swap-out of another stock plenum & manifold wouldn't be traceable (ie, years 85-91 all use same manifold, the plenums for '90-91 are identical as well, other than specific casting numbers.
Obviously engine blocks for instance are another story, but the question was made about the intake parts.....will it really matter?

If it's not a typical factory casting number and appropriate date code (or other tell tale indicators) for this year and type of car then you could expect deductions to be made.
thanks, the buyer would be swapping his stock '91 intake parts for mine.....stock for stock....so they are direct replacements. The '91 and '90 plenums both even have the MAP sensor bung.
