69 Rallye Wheel Trim Rings

Help me answer this question.

Does the trim ring on 69s have a smooth rounded profile from the center to the rim or is there a "step" or "ridge" molded into the ring near the outside edge. I hope you know what I mean.

I'm talking about the exterior appearance only, I know there are differences in the mountings.

If there were changes between early and late 69s do you know roughly when the change came in?

Any help would be appreciated.

The factory trim rings have the ridge and also use 4 mounting tabs instead of full circle.
The smooth ones are aftermarket.

Not the answer I wanted to hear....both my 69s have the smooth trim rings

Now I'll need more $$$$ to get things right!
