From 462cu to 505cu..
So I know this is totally off topic of C4 Corvettes..
But I know some of us here just love cars in general and can appreciate a good car story.. or hear an engine get its inaugural crank!
If this tread should get deleted for off topic I totally understand, but after we heard this motor I just had to share with you all! The car is a 68 Camaro.. went from a 462 to a 505 Big Block. Its been a 2 yr project. This past Saturday we went for the first start!
Old stuff:
454 .040 over for 462 CI
750 holly DP
stock oval port heads
305 cam
400TH tranny
custom all alum drive shaft
ford 9" rear end with 3.50 gears
New stuff:
Same block .060 over for 505ci
1050 Dominator
Victor intake
Brodix BB2 Heads
Solid Roller
Custom grind cam
4L80E
ford 9" now with 4:10.
