I wonder where the vette lands up. Would be interesting to see who gets it.

I bet they wreck it or blow the motor before that happens. I warned them about the meth and running it without.

I looked at the ZL1 and 1LE Camaro's before buying my Grand Sport. Just too heavy for my tastes. Thought the C7 needed a little more time before I jumped into that one.

So, you traded your Vette to a dealer?

I like my mustang (just a normal GT) as a daily much more than the vette. A Zl1/GT500 would be even better. Vettes are great toys/weekend cars, but for dailys I'll take a mustang/camaro any day over a vette.

I can vouch for that. My last mustang was a 11 5.0 and was a lot better DD than the vette. The only thing is that every time I go WOT in the vette it just brings a smile to my face

i had a 654 whp 2010 camaro ss...ran mid 10s...was heavy. The ZL1 is heavier. I agree the ZL1 is holding value well. I just wanted a lighter format to play with, so I bought a used c6 this time around and am buying an ECS kit this week. The earlier C6s are stabilized pretty well on depreciation.

Now that's different. What are your initial thoughts on the ZL1 as you get used to it?

As a daily driver I'm loving it. Rides great on tour mode. Stereo sounds awesome. I'll add a couple of 10" subs since I want a bit more bass, but right now it's great. Seats are very comfy. Shifting is good. Colored HUD is badass. She is heavy though. Slow as hell compared to my 750rwhp C6 too. But still quick. Perfect daily driver.

4100 lbs and you can't see out of it.

Anyway, look fwd to seeing it @ 1000 RWHP, so it can keep up with us Vettes.

Lol. I swear I'm keeping the warranty intact.

As for seeing out of it, it's not that bad if you set your mirrors correctly. Meaning as you lean your head on the drivers window the mirror gets positioned so that you barely see the edge of the car. Lean to the center of the car and do the same thing for the passenger mirror. Then as a car approaches from behind you it will transition from the rear to side mirror. As it leaves the side mirror you will see the car next to you. That's how the HPDE instructors taught me to set them. Works awesome.

The weight was what kept me from getting a ZL1. I wanted one until I absolutely destroyed a 700 rwhp ZL1 at the airstrip. That's when I decided to get another Corvette. Though I'll admit that something different might be a nice change of pace.

I bought the C6 at the same dealer. They gave me over book for it plus I got the tax savings from trading a vehicle in. I didn't do too bad, although I still lost my *** on all the mods. I don't really care though. I look at mods like gambling. It's just money you better be willing to loose.

Yep, that's how I see it too. Cars are my hobby and if I lose money on the parts I buy to have fun with them, then so be it.

Exactly. Rather than hookers and blow I have cars.

It's too late. Already saw the 6*-9* of timing being pulled in 4th and 5th during a pull when it was 105F outside. I need to figure out how to get the PID IAT2 to show up. That's the one that shows after the intercooler temp, but it's not highlighted for me to select it. I also downloaded the tune and I'm looking at it.
