BMR Springs...Most guys like them?? Hows ride?
I am considering buying some BMR springs and ditching the stockers as the car read dips big time on hard braking with Baer brakes. Looking for about an inch drop but not so low to scrape all the time. It looks like BMR springs have really good reviews. I used Eibach Race springs a long time ago and rode horrible. As I have gotten older I like a clean ride and enjoy the horsepower. I finished my 383 Golen engine stroker 12psi STS Turbo motor and time to get her to handle a little better

I've got my '96 Z-28 riding on Strano springs and Koni SAs.

I would say that it's pretty good, and better than the Eibach Pro-Kit/SLP Bilstein combo that I had on it previously. However, my idea of "decent" may vary from yours, as I live in the frost heave/pothole capitol of the east coast.....

I don't know about the BMR springs....but my ride (93 Firebird) has the Eibach Pro-Kit and the SLP Bilsteins on it like leadfoots ride. I find the actual drop was about 1.25" in the front and about an 1.5" in the back....but the stance looks killer. While my ride is a bit rougher, Im not completely sure its just from those two things alone. Ive also got the BMR weld in SFC, frt-rear sway bars, lcas, phb, shocktower brace and polyurethane bushings. Anytime Ive read more than 4 posts about this subject in other forums, someone mentions Sam Strano.....with so many people raving about his stuff, there must be something to it. Next time my car is due for a freshening up, I'm calling him.

The major problem with the 4th gen F-bods, is they don't have a lot of suspension travel. Therefore, when you lower them, to get rid of the "4X4 look" that's standard equipment, you use up a lot of the limited amount of travel, so in order to keep you off the bump stops, the "lowering springs" have to be pretty stiff. That, in turn, makes them ride fairly hard.
