Default 2002 Z28 Question.....

I just picked up a mint '02 Z28 with 58K miles on her and I want to immediately have the oil changed. Can anybody help me out with capacity including new filter? Thanks

Thanks! I believe that my '99 LS1 C5 vette held 6 quarts so I guess the oil pan is the difference.

Yes the oil pan is different. Dont know if they changed the size on the Vettes cause my '02 Vette is 6.5 quarts but my '02 Camaro SS I had was 5.5.

If it's the same engine, why would the oil pan be different? Wouldn't the internals still need the same lubrications?

It has the same lubricants, just different oil pans. The Corvette oil pan will not fit under the F-body and I believe the F-body oil pan would hit the ground on a Corvette.
