Default Camaro convertible??

Just curious if there is a plan to release the vert in the future or was it axed. If it's still planned, what year? Thanks

Don't know his source, however on page 24 of Sept. '09 SUPER CHEVY MAGAZINE, it mentions 2011 in a blurb with beautiful pic of a Red/Black Stripes 'vert....

Quote: in early 2011. NEW CAMARO CONVERTIBLE TO DEBUT IN FIRST QUARTER 2011

..GM has made it official that despite the tough economic situation the company faces, the new Camaro will have a convertible model to debut in early 2011. Despite rumors reporting this model was stillborn, GM's Terry Rhadigan confirmed that the convertible will go into production the first quarter of '11. Plans call for both V-6 and V-8 models to be available. No word yet on the fate of the supercharger-equipped Z/28, which was slated to get a version of the Cadillac CTS-V's blown LS engine..... (end Quote)

So Take That Spanking Like Men "Mustang Poser's!"

btw, with the 3 bolt-ons mentioned in *Calloway Chris' thread to a new SS, the 'Maro will blow by that "BLOWN SHELBY" Stang that I watched on the tube recently, beat an unblown abeit heavier Chevy w/larger cubes by 2 feet or so.
But the approx. 50 "UNTUNED" HP mentioned in the thread* will now allow the Camaro to "BLOW AWAY the BLOWN"...no?

Pics of the vert. dont really mean anything. They have had that since right before they started producing the coupe.

The Z/28 is supposedly back on the burner too for 2011 according to Camaro5.net!

It has the CTS-V 556 horse supercharged LS9 in it!
