Default 2010 Camaro Actual Photos

I was at a meeting today and they had a production model with the 300HP V6 there. Nice car.

Is it me or does this look more like a Cobalt then the original proto that was at car shows years ago... Sorry but I think it looks like a cross between Cobalt and Impala.... Would love to hear from others. I owned a Yenko, and 82 PC and 96 Z28/SS and I have to say this is rather disappointing seeing the actual production model.

What happened to the side chrome gill in front of rear wheels? and the unique roof lines that was suppose to be modeled off the 69?

Am I the only one that is disappointed once again of the final designed as opposed to the proto that was shown at shows a few years ago...

Anybody got photos to compare the proto to the production?

I was really looking forward to the new Camaro.
Based on what I have seen to this point in time I was impressed with the design work.
From these pics it appears as if the car lost some of its masculinity

I see the roof line there and I had a 69, this roof looks like a chopped down version and I like it.
I agree about the missing gills though, maybe the z28 will have them.

A 300 hp V6 is a great base motor for this car. I don't much like the way the engine compartment looks though, too much dam plastic.

I like the nose on this car but I really wish they had extended the lines over the wheel wells like in 69, that would have looked GREAT.

What is with the plastic covers on all the engines these days? When I open the hood I want to see an engine! Not a cover!

As someone who thinks most cars on the road don't look very good and isn't particularly a fan of retro styling, I think they did a great job with this design and would take one of these over a V6 Stang in a heartbeat.

Maybe not the best market to be SELLING a car like this, but credit where credit is due nonetheless.

I don't think some of you realize the market they're targeting the V6 for.

Agreed with the ***** comment. 300 ponies from a V6 is nothing to scoff at.

Wonder what the MPG is.

Doesn't look nearly as good as the prototype.

Looks pretty sharp and nice to see a base car with 300 hp.

Are you serious?!?! except for maybe the Viper, I'm having a hard time thinking of another car that stayed so true to the concept. Can you tell which is which?

Maybe it is just the OP pics???
I am anxious to see the car in person.
As a side note the chrome trim in front of the rear wheels was an option on the 69 and did not appear on all 69 Camaro's.

Call JC Whitney. I am sure they will make them.

I think it looks almost exactly like the concept/prototype. Please see Lionsfan5454's post for more clarification.

It's really hard to take pictures of a red car with noon day sun.

I agree, the backup lights look out of place. They should have moved them into the license plate area.
