Hello everyone I am starting to revive a 1979 T/A,400w/6x heads. I found this car after it had sat for 10 years in a garage here in georgia, I couldnt resist buying it it was really cheap they just wanted it gone, suprising the body and paint are in great shape but I have yet get into the running gear. Interior is very good condition. I just got it home yesterday and pulled the plugs and blew the fuel line out, no gas in the tank but did get some bad out of the line. I diconnected the distributor so it wouldnt fire and I was going to bump the starter to see if it would move and the starter is bad. I poured some light oil into the cylinders and it has sat since last night. I will get a STARTER today and see if she will move tonight. It sure feels good to be working on something again. Let me know of anything that comes to mind that might help I dont want to damage anything in the motor.

Good luck!! I had a '77 T/A for 24 years, and they can be a real blast to drive!

Edit....Just thought about this. Is the car a 4 speed? If so, it's most likely a WS-6, which makes it a rare car. IIRC, the last 400 Pontiac powered T/As in '79 were built out that way. If so, IT'S A KEEPER!!
