Good luck. $14,000 might be do-able.

These cars do surprise. We sold a '96 Z/28SS with a few more miles than your car has for this exact same amount just this past month.

I personally thought we would have to discount the asking price substantially to sell but came away VERY SURPRISED at the amount of interest the car generated. We got our asking price and you might too.

One thing that can't be trusted here is the "Blue Book".

For most cars the Blue Book value is a DREAM PRICE.

Getting "book" is usually your best case scenario when selling but our experience was quite different. When setting a price for the car my husband quickly decided to take a shot at much higher than book. I thought he was NUTS. I think my actual comment was,

"You don't really want to sell it at all do you?"

Maybe I shouldn't have been so surprised he was right though.

A quick look in the local advertising showed not one other 1996 Z28SS for sale within 500 miles.

I'm not sure how a 2000 SS will stack up on "rarity" vs a '96 but Kelly Blue book told us to expect far LESS than we got for our car.

So be careful...........pricing on these cars is really not as easy as just looking up "book".

How many miles on body/engine? If in the 80K or less range I'd offer this:

Full boltons, and H/C
BMR suspension package, LCA Relocs, etc.; poly mount. SFCs.

17X9; 17X11 ZR1s.

Dynoed 445/405 to the wheels.
Panasonic headunit w/ stealthbox/amp and aftermarket sound system. (Monsoon is intact, but not connected).

Brother, you have a nice T/A... it would kind of be trading for the same car.. You know what i mean...

My car actually has OVER 240K on the body.. It was my daily driver since new... I have only recently dumped alot of money into it since i paid it off... This motor only has about 25K on it...

Nice T/A...

Just throwin it out there Goodluck on your Vette search. I have always been a Chevy guy, so wanted to see if you wanted to trade. Couldn't hurt to ask, but damn 240K! Looks awesome though.
