Rockford Files episode showing 77 Firebird front in 74-75 season episode

I noticed this watching a Rockford Files episode this morning. The episode is copyrighted 1974, the shows first season. In one scene they show him driving the same color firebird with the normal 1974 front end. Then they switch to another angle of the car briefly but it has the 1977 front end. They then showed the 1974 front again. It was not my imagination as I've seen this episode at least 3 times this year and noticed this. However, I didn't think quick enough to see if they showed the newer 2nd gen back window style. I guess this may be of interest only to Rockford Files fans, but I could not find any info about this on the net. I'm trying to find out if this was well talked about back then or was it mostly ignored.

Unfortunately, I can't remember. I believe it was one of the earlier episodes of that season. I remember seeing this no more than 10-15 minutes into the episode.
