New Malibu interior corvette inpired?

Take a look at the new Chevy Malibu, it looks like the C1 design or is it just me? Is this a test of the next generation corvettes interior, the C7? www.chevrolet.com

I think so, if this is what they are going to do, it's a nice way to upgrade the interior.
