2009 Camaro
Just curious as to what you guys think of the concept car? I think it looks mean....at least it's a Chevy!

OK OK...But I was thinking this car may affect folks looking at vettes. I know it may depend on pricing....but do you think this car will impact vette sales?...and will it handle as good as a vette? It'll basically have the same engine...sooooo will it be more desirable to folks? This obviously isn't anything like the GTO was because the looks of the GTO was nasty.

Don't think Camaro will affect Corvette sales as long as GM keeps the Corvette pricing within reason.
The people that can afford a Corvette will buy a Corvette.
The ones that cannot, will buy a Camaro.
I bought Camaros for awhile because I thought Corvettes were getting too expensive, and the new Z06 has just about moved the price again to where I will never get one. Not because the Camaro is such a good deal, but because the Z06s have gotten waaaay too expensive for the average person.

I've always been into F Bodies. I WILL have one of these. Most likely not when they first come out, but a year or 2 after. Hopefully they'll tweak the look of the rear more. As far as pricing, depending on engine options if it's close to $30k for a SS w/ a LS2 sounds right. Anything more will be too much.

Why is GM waiting so long to produce this car?
I think the car is sweet. If they price it right.... It's going to be half a Corvette...
Then again GM is not known for business savvy lately...
The GTO was SOOOO LAME.......
