I have basically using this tune since 2005 on my 04 ZO6 346cu 6psi with a BAP and 48 lb injectors. I maintain a 11.6 to 1 A/F ratio for safety but look at my PE vs RPM table in LS1 Edit. The reason I ask is I have seen people on the forum that run more psi than I and some without a BAP. Just wondering if there PE table is more radical (if mine is radical) or I got something else going on?

Recently I had the car on the dyno and have been driving it around a couple of days each week. I've noticed that if I'm cruising at a steady speed and bump the car into nuetral(6 speed) the car will try to hunt for idle. Typically this will happen when I approach redlights and/or stop signs. So, I called the tuner, explained the situation and he stated that I should drill a 7/32" diameter hole in the TB plate.

I've heard of doing this before, but is this REALLY the correct way to solve the problem?

I bought HP Tuners last year with 5 credits. When I got it I locked my car in with the software and had 3 credits left. Since then I have not used it once. Well since then I have bought a new laptop. Last night I installed the software on my new laptop and looked at the "about" of HP Tuners and it shows I have 3 credits and "No cars Locked"??? My car was not connected to the laptop at the time is that the reason it shows no cars locked, or did the software forget what was locked to it? Will I have to use 2 more credits to tune my car?

I'm just wondering if the HP Tuners software is a worthwhile purchase for a basically stock C5(only mods are Borla Stinger exhaust and a K&N air filter). I know software like this is a necessity if you're adding a supercharger, but didn't know what kind of hp/tq gains it would provide on a base car. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok well I started a thread in the tech/performance area but it's starting seem like my problem is...

Ok well I started a thread in the tech/performance area but it's starting seem like my problem is more related to something in the PCM so I will try here and see if someone can help.

Problem started when the car completly staled, then would crank and I could only get the engine to sputter and it would not start. Took the car to the dealer, they said there is no fuel pressure so it needs a fuel pump. Since they were so very proud of thier fuel pump and labor, I ended up doing it myself. New fuel pump and car started but wouldn't run right. The engine knocks like it was out of time. Found some crispy wires going to the crankshaft position sensor...fixed those up and verifed the connection was good from sensor connector to pcm. Still same problem. Had someone come out with a scanner capable of reading the signal from the crankshaft position sensor, he said there was no signal. One of the wires going to the crankshaft position sensor is the low voltage reference. There is no low voltage reference. When the key is in run. The 12 volts is there as it should be. The diagram in my service manual shows the low voltage coming from the PCM so it seems like it is an internal problem with the PCM.

So my questions are...

Is there something that needs to be satisfied so that the low voltage will be present or should it always be there?

Is there a way to test the PCM to see if it is still good?

I have been running some scans because it was running kind of rich. The LTFTs are too high, everything looks good, even the STFTs look ok. I did some compares to some past runs and on the O2 MV table I see the O2s giving me a higher mv reading by as much as 100mvs in some cells almost half.

A while back I had LG headers installed and we put the rear O2s in the front location as suggested by LG and eliminated the rear O2s. I think the reasoning was that the rears worked better in that location with the headers.

I guess I am going have to dial in the VE table to reflect the higher voltage.

has any one experienced anything like this, or approached it from a different perspective?

The O2s are switching just fine, just a much larger range. Should I go back and put the stock front O2s in or just dial in what I have. It is a bit of work to change O2s as I don't think I can get them out without dropping the headers as I have one of those thick tunnel plates on.

I know I can dial in what I have.

Thank you again for your all your business in October. It was another great month for us at PartsTaxi, and we owe it to our customers. We had a great cruise in last weekend with the local corvette clubs. It was nice to see more the 2 dozen cars turn out when the thermostat on the sign read 27 degrees at 8am. Unseasonably cold for here, this is the beach area LOL.
In running through some of our kit pricing, I found that GM lowered our pricing on quite a few items, so I am able to pass these savings on to you. I have also added quite a few more lines of what was popular and requested last month. As always, I will match any competitors total shipped price on any GM parts, not just what is listed here.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for assistance. You can call, email, pm ~ whatever works for you

Wednesday November 18th in Ft Myers

Please call or PM for all shop info, as board rules prohibit listing of the shop names.

Friday November 20th in Gainesville

S. Florida - Davie on Monday November 23rd and Tuesday the 24th

The cost of dyno tuning is $400 + $80/hr for the dyno. If you are just looking for a street tune he can also do that for $300 w/ WB o2. We work very hard and are extremely thorough to make sure every vehicle is perfect and you are completely satisfied.

We will have ported intake manifolds for $300 and the throttle bodies for $150 all readily available. When they are done together it is discounted to $400. Installation is free.

We will also now have the new Stage 2 intakes for $375.00 or $475.00 for both the intake an throttle body together.
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/genera...e-porting.html

Why a Formato Fasterprom Ported manifold and throttle body?
Average gain from stock to our ported LS2 manifold is 11 rwhp and 13 rwtq, and we have done well over 350 of these intakes. On a LS3/L76 the gains on average are 12 rwhp and 15rwtq and have done over 60 of these. LS7's gain on average 18 rwhp and 20rwtq, we have done over 110 of these. We have had many cars gain much more than the averages listed: 20RWHP from an LS2, 32RWHP for an LS7, and 30RWHP from a L76 and 22RWHP from an LS3.

Porting the TB is a very nice SOTP difference, you will not see much of a gain on the dyno but your vehicle will be 10x more fun to drive and your throttle response will be greatly increased.

Porting the LS1 TB's is $100 installed. This will also greatly improve your throttle response. This is all on a core exchange basis.

We will be requiring a $100 deposit to hold the spots.
If anyone is interested in having any headers or exhaust installed, we can get that done with enough notice, please call the shop to schedule an appt for this.

Here are some graphs of some cars that we dynoed, tuned, and swapped the intakes and TBs. Some are direct A-B swaps and show the results. Some are Base runs then a rough tune and then we swap the intake and TB, and then fully optimize the tune.

Obviously the larger motors wanted the larger manifold more than a smaller motor but we have had an LS2 with one of our ported LS2s on it put a ported FAST on there and pick up 22RWHP and 30RWTQ on a 6L bolt-on 07 vette.

Note LS1 and LS6 manifolds are not ported as there are no measurable gains with porting.
