Should I expect to see anyone from this forum in Cordova Illinois tomorrow?

I realize most of you are on the east coast, but it gets lonely here in between the corn fields and the river. I went a month ago and was the fastest Corvette there... (the only other one was a stock C5 in the mid-high 13s and he made two time runs and went home)

Well, if anyone ends up there, look for the red 92 with crooked tailpipes and say hi!

Jegs stage control valve

so i am heating up my coffee and open the jeg christmas catalog and see this Stage Control Valve

Looked it up and looks like a line loc.

Anybody using one of these? Do these things (line locs) wear from abuse...in other words it something that should be replaced at certain intervals?

Corvette vs camaro

i am looking to get between a 1971-1982 corvette and it seems to me like camaros and corvettes have the same motor and transmission. My question is what is a lighter car the camaro or corvette. Also i could possible get up to a 1992 corvette if its priced right but i also would like to know what could be some performance parts for it. I thought maybe these could be some upgrades i dont know if the vette already has it but i need performance upgrade suggestions

1. Short-shifter
2. K&N air filter
3. Cold air intake
4. Racing chip
5. Headers

OK....

Here's my plan.. I'm taking the Caviler Sat.. (The weather will be great) its the last day of racing for us, so I'll go against my better judgment, & enter TWO classes... The Pro Dial Dash & GM HiTec...

I'll also be tuning for Ralphieee.. and watching out that the "KID" don't eat all the food! :)

I plan on finishing the yr with a double win....:crazy: I put that in before Mackey could!

The Brackets should be great... wish I could be in them (not to win, but maybe be a spoiler).... well that wont happen, but I'll do my best in GM-HiTec and Pro Dial...

It should be fun watching a 10 sec car sitting on the converter for 7 seconds when I dial 17.5 in the Caviler LOL :rofl:

C5 Suspension:QA1s or Coil-overs

So I was at the tack on Sat and I think I have reached the point where I have more power than my stock suspension can handle. I am looking at adding QA1 shocks all around or coil-overs. Which is preferred with the racing crowd? If coil-overs which brand?

C3 Roll Cage help?

Can someone with a C3 and 10 point roll cage help me out? On the 2 bars that are in front of the driver, that go from halo bar above the driver to the floor by the drivers foot, how is yours attached to the floor/frame? Is it somehow welded directly to the frame rail there (doesn't seem possible by itself), or did you use a 6" plate welded to the floor, or can you weld a bracket off the frame and weld the bar to it?
Just wanted to see what has been done and what's legal for tech.

If I did , would you guarantee that we would have x entries in CC, or x entries amongst the three classes?

Predict 2009 AMR Pro 11.50 Index Champion

One race to go for the Anger Management Pro 11.50 Index and we still have 5 possible champions provided we are over 8 cars, which should not be a problem to go 4 rounds.

2008 Champ Rob Farley comes in with a 2 round lead, now I know qualifiying can impact this so lets not look at that yet but it could make a huge difference.

Basically, Rob wins two round and he should hve it wrapped up.

However, with four rounds, it is roughly an 80 pt differently so anyone withing 80 can strike number 1.

There are too many scenarios to look at but both Paul Bogdan and Rich Shuleski need Rob to go out round 1 to have a shot and need Shawn and Jerry to advance too far either.

this one can be very exciting...i may need to bring the laptop to keep track of this one.

Predict 2009 ARH Pro 8 Shootout Champion

So we are down to one American Racing Headers Pro 8 Shootout Race three racers have a shot at the title, dependent on car count.

1. Michael Conway 156
2. Angelo Valla 114
3. Jay McCardle, Jr. 108

At 20 pts per round, Mike Conway, the 8.50 index champ at Atco, holds a 38 pt lead over Angelo Valla. If we have 4 cars or less, Conway goes out rd 1 and Valla wins the event, Valla wrestles the champhionship from Conway.

If we have 5 cars or more, then that opens the door for McCardle. McCardle will need Conway to go out round 1 and to be one round better than Valla to wrestle the title from both.

Any of the three not showing, makes it a little easier for the others.

ECS CC, 35 with a shot at a Jacket for 2009

let this serve as a reminder, out Top 16 points racers earn a Raceway Park team jacket. Maybe Rob or Louis who should have theirs can post a pic of the jacket.

If we go 6 rounds (33 - 64 cars) then we can see a 6 point difference for any two drivers (1 out first round and the other wins the event)

With that being the case and 16 pts being the 16th position right now, there are 36 drivers that can potentially earn a jacket. Some are locked already but the 35th position has a shot, albeit a long shot, to bump in to the 16, who also will be invited to the $1000 gamblers race to be held next year too.

East Coast Supercharging In Another Final - AGAIN!!!!!

Thats right, Another final appearance int he Street Wars Modified Class. I fought my way through a solid field of only Domestic vehicles. There were no Imports in this class. I never seen this before. I had drivers throw me in the left lane hoping I would loose. NOPE, I came back swinging. I went 7 rounds in the modified class to win it. My dial in for round one was 11.52, my dial in for the fianl round was 11.39. The weather changed that much. I went 5 rounds in the Slick Outlaw class. I went down due to me going red. UGGGGGGGGGG. I was -.001 red in the left lane. :eek: The ON KILL WAS ACTIVATED. :D I think I have won the Street Modified class three or four times now. :cool:

The Street Modified class was running before the S/O class. After I made a pass in the S/M class, I would return tot he lanes and had to go around the wall to meet up witht he rest of the class. :crazy: I was changing my dial in while driving to the staging lanes.

I need to thank ECS for all the work they have done. There is no way I would be where I am today without them. :flag: I need to also thank American Racing Headers, NOWET.com, DeLuca Family Chiropratic Care and New York Speed & Machine.

I hope this warm up will carry over to Saturday. :thumbs: I will be entered in 4 classes Saturday. :crazy:

Eric Fischer a two point lead over Rob Farley and Ralph Savarese.

He leads by 5 over Louis Calicchia and Bob Trieschmann. These guys were hurt by the rainout as Eric shows up and basically eliminates them.
