Hey everybody,
I have been reading alot of posts about people having some belt slippage when pushing some serious power. Now my question is what do people currently do to reduce or prevent slippage.

Has there ever been any R&D done on putting a sort of centrifugal clutch, like on a snowmobile primary clutch, on the charger pulley itself? So at low rpm the clutch wouldn't be engaged, but when the RPM's climb the weights will transfer and clamp on the belt with increasing pressure as the RPM's climb? Sure the primary on a snowmobile is huge, but I'm sure it can be scaled down to the size of a normal pulley with a light spring installed and then heavier weights....

Thoughts?? Or is the answere just to get a cog belt design???

Gentleman,
My 00 vert with a recently installed (driven for 3 months) 112 Maggi will crank but will not start, it has a new LPE fuel pump, fuel filter, all connections fuses have been checked, in addition a new Optima battery. I checked the fuel rail, there is no fuel in the fuel rail and I cannot hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on.

Before I replace the fuel pump does anyone know how to check the Magna spark to see if it’s bad? I was told you disconnect the magna spark connecter and use a jumper wire, but to what I do not know. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Fuel Pump Issue Fixed

My mechanic Gotjuice? (Arnold), Corey of Henderson Performance and some help from Chriswtx my fuel...

My mechanic Gotjuice? (Arnold), Corey of Henderson Performance and some help from Chriswtx my fuel pressure issue is fixed.

My setup was first put on Corey's dyno Nov 05 and then it put down 749 rwhp at 6800 with the 97-98 return system. That was when the LPE pump was new as was the KB BAP. This year I finally upgraded to an 8 rib as I was having belt slip above 6k after about 2k on a belt. 2 years ago I ran the Texas Mile and found out how belt slip in 4th and 5th restricts your speed to 180mph. Corey took out the MAF and now I have SD tune much better throttle response and no more surging. It took me some time to do the upgrade as I wanted a new C6 first and put resources there, got the C6 so did the 8 rib.

When we first put the 8 rib on I went to the dyno and FP dropped at 5500 and this was when we were getting ready for last months Texas Mile. So Aronld and Chris made a custom Bosch 420 pump for the intank, not time for getting in the stuff for a hobs on the outside. This did not work, oh we did change the regulator at this time.

After the Texas Mile I got in line at Arnolds, he had several big jobs, one was putting a Vortech Blower on a 07 Z06 that put down 560 with no headers or any other mods. The new attack was twin pumps in the tank. The pictures from others that have done this mod on the forum worked, Corey got the pumps, custom made a Y and Arnold did his magic with putting the two pumps together. So I still have stock fuel rails, the stock fuel lines to and from, except for the new line from the Aeromatic Regulator to the fuel rail.

My Vette fired right up with the new pumps and on the way home several blasts to 5k no issues. So last night out to Corey's for the test to see if all was well. From the previous pulls Corey took out all the timing and maxed the fuel for my protection as I tend to boost the crap out of my setup. First pull very rich and he then took out fuel on the top end and put in 15 degress of timing. Second and last pull to only 6400 730 RWHP as the 60# injectors were done and he shut it down. So now I got 95% of the Vette fixed. I need bigger injectors before March for the Texas Mile as I need to run my setup to 6800 or so in 4th and 5th to motor the mile.

My thoughts after 4 years of having this small block together and still making about the same power (with bigger injectors should be at 750 or so when we run up to 6800). I am very pleased that after 15k and 1/4 passes, the Mile Runs that are harder on the engine wide open for a Mile is such a rush, that I sill have lots of HP and now zero belt slip. Arnold:thumbs: I owe you the most thanks as you do all my work and have kept my setup together as I do like to thrash on my setup, I do drive on the edge quite a bit. Also to A&A for the short block that has held up to my abuse and still makes great power. Finally to Corey for his tuning that is not on the edge, just so I could make a bigger number.

I have some 60# injectors that I will post up for sale after Thanks Giving as I am going to 90# for the future, not just this setup.

Just finished isntalling my vortech supercharger and started my car. Its ideling a little rough almost like i have a cam in it but kind of popping just a little. I have not done any tunning yet, it still got my power tune from when it was NA. Ive got a A/F guage hooked up but im not sure if i need to replace the sensor or if its reading correct. Its reading 10.5 at ideal. I do have bigger injectors then b4 because of the supercharger. I was going to take it for a little test drive without going into boost but when i backed up and moved a few feet it sounded like the car was going to turn off. So i thought i rather just wait for the tunner to come and tune it b4 even driving it.
Does this sounds normal.:willy:

Image: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/AMERICAN_HP/Product%20Photos/TPEHeader.jpg

After many many months of painstaking design challenges, it has finally come to an end. The Completion to the Total Performance Engineering "T2 Widebody" kit is a reality.

These photos were just sent to us from the manufacturer who makes our panels, and told us they are the actual production piece. Sooooo, what you see, is what you get.

We have had huge success with the widebody rear panels. Some of the pictures that are coming out, are simply amazing. We are 100% confident, that when the entire kit is purchased, it will set your car apart from any other C5.

Our front fenders are 1 1/8" wider than factory, yet retain all surrounding factory panels, and hardware. This was one of our primary concerns. We did not want the end user to be required to swap out any other panels to make these work. These panels retain all of the factory lines, so all aftermarket hoods, front fascias, side skirts, an lower valances are not affected.

We are thankfull that we have been able to develop a widebody that actually suits both the "Bling" community, as well as serving a vital role in the aftermarket racing community. By running both the front and rear panels, a road racer can run significantly wider tires and offsets, whereas the drag racer can tuck a 14.5" slick without rubbing.

Please enjoy the pictures of our kits, and if you have any questions, please ask.

While we will accept constructive criticism, we will not tolerate bashing or unrelated comments.

I was researching superchargers and found the ATI Prochargers to be much too loud for my tastes. I don't like the whine at idle. I liked the paxton novi which was nice and quiet. However it seems ATI has released their own "quiet" version of the procharger:
