About a year ago i spotted a C4 looking pitifull in a parking lot just 1/4 mile north of street rd on 232. 2 days ago i was in the area so i made a point to see if it was still there. It was!! Its a white 89 with a 91 rear panel. chrome sawblades... looked to be a nice car at one time. now after 8 years [vandalized] in the elements with a broken roof panel&busted rear hatch glass, it was a sight to see. I tried & got lucky to find the owner. He isnt sure what he wants to do with it. He parked it there in the parking lot of the business there in 2001. never drove it again after it was vandalized. Since then someone stole the seats, but the rest is intact. He seems to have hope to someday repair the car,but told me it may not be worth it at this point. i left him my #cell and made a offer for it as a parts car. He said he would call me in the future if its time to let it go. I snapped a few cell# pics of it & left. Anyone else ever have a story like this of a long abandoned Corvette?: ack:

Thinking of selling our 84 Silver over Gunmetal Gray. Never been abused and my wife and I have owned it since 1992. Solid engine and mechanically perfect, no damage ever, no leaks at all always garaged, but the paint is worn out. It's got 85K miles on it. But this is a car you could get in and Drive to California without any fear at all. New tires 100 miles on them, and last year it got a complete new exhaust system, Engine to mufflers. Having trouble uploading pic's !

Quick question for you experts. My 84 baby has a small trans leak I just noticed. Its funny, it never leaks a drop when I use it for a while. Once I leave it for a week or so I notice a small amount of trans fliud in the pan I have under her.
I have a square stainless pan I made, about 16 x 32 and It is placed under car when I park her. This way I can see if anything is leaking at all.
Whenever I drive her like for a few days in a row, there is nothing there.
But I left it sit for about a week and noticed a small amount of trans fluid. Its happened a couple of times. I crawled under and checked everything and it is all tight.
Is it possible its just needs a new pan gasket for the pan?
I am thinking maybe it drys out when it sits and then leaks out a little.

Any ideas guys?

My 93 coupe needs tires. Has anyone changed sizes? It now has 255/45-17s on the front, and 285/40-17s rear. I am thinking of 275/40/17s all around as that size is readily available, and generally less expensive than the original combination. Is there a problem with the slightly narrow 17x8.5 front rims. The car is strictly used on the road, with no track days anticipated.

This collection belongs to Dennis Albaugh in Ankeny , Iowa , just north of Des Moines .
The personal and private collection consists of 110 + Chevrolet convertibles... all years from
1912 to 1975 and Corvette convertibles from 1953 to 1975.
That is a Chevy convertible from every year of manufacture EXCEPT 1939...
The reason? - Chevy didn't make a convertible in '39 -- and ended its convertible line in '75! (resumed again later)
His 'boy toys' include his own 18 hole golf course, copied somewhat after Augusta National.
He is what you call a REAL Chevy guy, but his passion seems to be convertibles !
This billionaire made his fortune selling farm chemicals !
