Default Recieved my AFR's today !!!

Fedex came with a package today :) , I snapped a few shots before dropping them off to the engine builder ;) . He hasn't seen to many of these heads & his 1st impression was that they look like nice heads for the money. We're going to flow them to see how they look there too ;) .

So without further ado:
Here's the intake port: (not a very good pic)

The exhaust port:

What it's going to look like with the intake on top:

And for the heck of it, a birds eye view:

Thanks ld85, I don't have the exact date in front of me, but I think it was 8 weeks since I placed the order with Flatlanders Racing :)

That stuff looks fabulous!

Are those titanium retainers? What kind of spring pressure are you running? Roller or shaft rockers? Can't wait to see the finished product!

ld85, that seems like a long time for bare heads, I would call them to see if they could maybe get them to you a bit sooner ;) .

FLareside yes I upgraded to titanium retainers :yesnod: . I'm not sure about the spring pressures, but I went with Pacaloy springs and +.100 valves. My cam is a solid roller :D .

I did call them,, thats how I know that they will not be sent out till mid January :cry They claim the Holidays and their new building is slowing them down,, makes sense I guess.

I'm interested in your flow numbers too!

Seems we got the same heads within couple of months of each other.

Nice induction system too!

Obviously, the 'race ready' heads are hand ported. I trust they were ported at AFR? Did they by chance, give you any specs as to port volume AFTER the porting?

The Race Ready heads are CNC ported just like the Competition heads, the difference is the comp heads spend more time in the CNC machine than the RR's so the flow numbers are slightly better with the Comp's .

Its a miracle,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, my bare AFR-210 RR heads came in today,
AFR forgot to drill the sensor holes but at least I got them!

They will be assembled by http://www.indyheads.com and in my hands in a week. Indy Heads will drill the holes for me too and cut them to 68CC

Overall the delivery turned out to be 4 1/2 weeks which is not too bad!
