What is "Bob" weight ?

I need a little Education here. My engine builder is talking about it. What does it mean in regards to a race engine ?

When he balances your crank he will add the weight (in grams) of EVERYTHING hanging off of it (rods, pistons, rings & bearings), they even add a couple of grams for oil. This number is your "bob weight" they will bolt weights equal to your "bob weight" to the crank and spin it. ...redvetracr
