Motor plates ?

At what point should someone consider using motor plates to prevent the side of the block from cracking at the motor mount points ? I don't think I will need plates with the Dart block and 600hp, but I'm curious. I'm thinking about this in case I install a nitrous kit on the engine in the future :crazy: .
