Default SBC dipstick fit

Should the 350 SBC dipstick be an "interference fit" into the block? Mine is sort of loose. Should I use RTV? TIA !!!

I don't know if it should be that way, but mine is very tight. I think its taper but I'm not sure.

It should be a "light" press fit. A few taps with the hammer, type of fit. I would see what you can do about expanding it a little. I've used RTV in the past, but keep it all on the outside. Don't let any get into the engine. Good luck, and...

RACE ON!!!
