I use ARP stainless header studs in my aluminum heads, but I don't use Loctite, but rather an appropriate antiseize. Studs should not be torqued into the reciever, just hand tight. The antiseize will help prevent the galvanic corrosion which occurs between dissimilar metals, especially aluminum and steel/stainless.

Monty is right, use anti-sieze. Use a small amount on your plug threads too. Niether loctite would survive exhaust area heat anyway, but the heat degenerated loctite could interfere with removal.

:iagree: A good nickel-based anti-seize
Plus Normally, Loctite red requires HEAT for removal if installed correctly the first time.Blue is for fasteners under 3/4 "
