What is your experience with Thermo-Tec's exhaust jackets ? Are they so prooven, as the header wrapping and easily to install ?

I wouldn't hesitate to go for it. I've thought about using them on my chrome Hooker headers, but then just decided to go for the header wrap instead. Why wrap chrome headers? Because I don't want high underhood temps, and besides, they're still chrome coming out into the sidepipes. Anyway, I'm very impressed with how effective that is. After running hard, I can pop my hood and put my hand around a header primary and it's only lukewarm.

Anything you can do to reduce underhood temps will help.

Hi Bearcat,

it's a pity for your beautiful chrome headers, that why I would prefer jackets that could be undone.

How thick is your wrapping ?

Bearcat I am another fan of header wrap. I go to alot of cruise nights and after running the expressways I can pop the hood and there is no heat wave stricking your face. I quickly wipe down the engine compartment and if I accidently touch the headers I do not burn myself.
I have never tried the boots.
