Default Need help with DFI car stalls every now and then...

Hey does anyone know what I need to configure in the calmap program(version 6.32) to keep the car from stalling at certain times when I let off the gas abruptly. I assume its the stall saver but I don't understand what the different values on the graphs need to be to get it right. Also if I abruptly give it a lot of throttle sometimes it hesitates and even backfires. Any info is appreciated. -James
I also posted this in the c4 scan and tune in case you have seen this twice.

I used to have that system. I would work with the Stall Saver as you mentioned. It steps out the IAC motor to prevent the stalls you are experiencing.

Is the backfire you're experiencing though the exhaust, or through the intake?

whats the difference between the Gen 7 and Gen 6? does the gen 6 give you the same performance possibilitys as gen 7? I am okay with the does based system, besides I don't plan enjoying my vett with a lap top in the passenger seat. Got better things to go there.

The 7 has Window's based graphical software, much easier to use than the old DOS 6.xx. The new hardware is universal for the most part, the 6.xx stuff had to be sent back to Accel to upgrade, plus they added more options, i.e. Wide-band O2, etc.

Hey Monty,
the backfire is coming from the intake actually and only does it once in a great while when going from a cruising idle to a stab at the gas. Also when doing this is hesitates. Not crisp response at all.

Sounds like it's lean to me then. Drive around and see where the engine is operating in the Base Fuel Map when this happens and try adding a little more pulsewidth in that area. If that doesn't solve it, try increasing the TPS Enrichment.
