Which head gasket to use
I have been hunting around for a head gasket to use with my o-ringed mark 4, 454 with aluminum heads. Summit is telling me the smallest bore Fel Pro makes is 4.37. The gasket I took off appears to be smaller than that, my bore is 4.280 and the gasket fits perfectly. I do not want to use the bigger head gasket (want all the compression I can get) Anybody have a part number for a small bore gasket that can be used for the above combo. I do not know if the o-ring causes problems or not.
