Default Can I run a Dry Sump off the water pump?

Because I'm limited in space and a have blower pulley on the crank nose, wondering if there is a problem running a dry sump off the front of the water pump.

Realize that I'll need to adjust the pulley to make sure the dry sump runs at the right speed.

Are you running a gilmer pulley on the crank & blowe? Why not install a larger belt and run the dry sump pump off it too.

It all comes down to available spaced and matching the belt types. The dry sump pump uses a Gilmer belt.

The SC uses a dual, narrow serpentine belt , and the crank pulley for the SCis rather large which will would turn the dry sump pump much faster than it was designed for. I could put a larger pulley on the dry sump, but then I don't think it will fit in the car.

if you drive the WP with a gilmore belt to prevent slippage it should work, but it will put a big load on the WP:chevy
