Default Repair Help!!!

Hopefully someone out there can lend a hand. Though I typically do most all my repairs myself, I'm currently in a situation where excessive business travel has not allowed me to do so. In early fall I overheated my 1990 C4 in traffic and suspect that I need as a minimum an new water pump and head gaskets. Unfortuantely, the car has been sitting since then as I have not had the opportunity to do the work.

Can anyone out there recommend a repair shop in the Los Angeles area which would be able to do the repair at a reasonable cost. I realize that there are a lot of places here that do Corvette work, but most are fancy, high overhead places that will charge an arm and a leg. What I am looking for is a shop that is familiar with Corvettes, with a knowledgeable mechanic, that doesn't support the high overhead of a fancy location with inflated labor rates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. YOu can post a message on this forum, but the best way to get to me is via my email krenit@attglobal.net as I am not always able to log onto this site.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Default Re: Repair Help!!! (buggsb)

Shoot, I know of a shop when I lived down there... But darn it I cannot remember the name. I know it either in Reseda or just south of it towards Hollywood more. I have a friend still down there with a vett as well I will ask him to search it down.

Anyways This shop "I will get you a name" was a very good looking shop, while at the same time, the Owner he was a very laid back man who was more than happy to sit back and shoot the breeze on certain issues.

Well I will let you know when I find the name and you can look him up.
