Dish volume of goodwrench piston #12361371??
Can't find the specified dish volume for my goodwrench 350 piston (gm #12361371). Tried to measure piston volume + crevice volume + deck hieght volume with block in car but failed. Plexiglas kept leaking when about 9/10ths full (~22cc). Burned a day trying but finally bolted head on. Called everyone that would answer the phone at GM but still no info that I trust. [IMG][/IMG]
How can you post pictures allong with disscusion text as I have image of piston ready?
That's the piston you mean.
This piston is cast aluminium, for 350-300 and 330 HP service with SP I.D. This 350 standard, pressed pin, high performance piston has a 9.1:1 compression ratio with 64cc head chamber volume (ID#10046106, 14075651 or 14093679

Don't forget the piston to head clearance "quench". GM factory engines are usually .025 in the hole. A total of .040 is optimum. The better the quench, the more CR possible.

Can't help you with that GM # ... BUT ... here's specs (w/76cc heads) on four Speed-Pro cast replacement types that might help you get close:
(1) pn 345: Flat, dome vol = -5cc, 4 VR's, CD = 1.560", CR = 8.24:1
(2) pn 423: Dished, dome vol = -10cc, 4 VR's, CD = 1.540", CR = 7.89:1
(3) pn 620: Dished, dome vol = -22cc, 4 VR's, CD = 1.540", CR = 7.23:1
(4) pn 670: Dished, dome vol = -11cc, 4 VR's, CD = 1.560", CR = 8.08:1
