Engine year
Where can I find the info about the engine on the motor itself?
I was told I have a Corvette engine. the Holley Carburetor 1850-3 is easy to figure out.
I see a string of numbers on top of the motor, but is there someplace else to check?
Appreciate the input. I'm very very NEW to all of this.
Thank you!

Here are two sites that provide info on casting #'s, engine pad stampings, and engine codes. The first one is really oriented towards Camaros; however, it has some nice photos of where to look and what to expect. The second site have a lot of tech info matching the castings and engine stampings to a particular vehicle/engine combo. The Corvette Black book has the engine stamping codes for each year so that should be a good source to check out. Hope this helps!
