Default 5.3L 706 heads on a LS1 make 11:1 compression?

read that 9.5 : 1 is the stock head specs of a 706 but that is on a 5.3 engine. Is the compression closer to 11:1 on a LS1 block?

Without milling they will set you up about 10.7:1 compression. You can mill them down to get to 11:1 without an issue on most combos. Just depends on what cam you are running.

if i have them decked by 10 mill , use a stock gm head gasket, that give me around 11: 1 ? can i still use stock push rods? the cam is medium in size 226/228 with .579 lift 114 separation. think i am ok with that cam??
