Default Need help....grooving hyd. roller lifter cases

I understand that oil flow to the rollers can be improved by grooving the case to allow oil to flow directly to the rollers. I don't need to know how to make the groove. I'm just not sure where. These are Morel lifters.

Also, Is 1/2 turn past 0 lash good for valve adjustment?

Thanks in advance.

Grooving the case is only going to spray the oil onto the wheel. It won't necessarily get it into the needles where it's needed..but it can't hurt.

Take a look at the instructions for the Comp Lifter bore tool to gets some ideas on placement. Might be a lot easier to just do the bores?

Morels are typically a little louder, but rev well. Will likey take 1/2 a turn to keep them sorta quiet at startup.

I saw the Comp tool to groove the bore and also decided to go with doing the lifters. I'm hoping it will also get more oil to the needles.
Thanks for the tip.
