Default Sprotsman II heads

Will this combo work well: Sportsman II heads, Performer RPM Air Gap and a Holley 4150 on a 350 Chevy?

If the carb that you are going to use is between 600 and 750 CFM then yes the parts that you have listed will give you a good performance boost. Did you plan on installing a high performance cam too?
You are going to have a lot of work ahead of you to get the set up under a stock height hood.

While I was biulding my motor, my engine builder recommended the Sportman II's with my RPM cam and intake. I have about 10.25:1 compression with zero deck clearance in my SBC 355. I've been very pleased with the results :) . The Sportman II's are said to be a very economical head choice for drag racing, being able to support a 500hp SBC.

Based on 1/4 mi mph results, the Sportsman IIs alone netted me a 55 horsepower gain over stock fresh rebuilt smog heads. They advertise a 30-70 bolt on gain.

The RPM manifold uses the same 1205 gasket size as recommended for the Sportsman II. So the intake ports should match-up real well.

Put in a decent sized cam and you are off to the races!!!!

PS Even if you are not going to play on the strip, this combo should be real streetable too.
