28" ET Street vs 26" ET Drag ...

I know this subject has probably already been covered, but I cannot find the information.... thus.

Thus, I have some very straightforward questions.

In short will a 26" ET Drag hook better than a 28" ET Street ? If yes, Why ?

I assume a 26" ET Drag will hook better than a 26" ET Street.... but I don't know why.... any help ?

Beach,IMO,the 28" Street will hook better,because one is laying down ~6.3" more tire footprint per one rotation.
As far as the 26" Drag vs. 26" street,my vote is for the Drag.The Street has a stiffer sidewall and works better in a heavy car and or stick car.
My opinions are based around a C4 application.

Beach...what Phil said.

They DO make a 26" x 16" drag even tho it's not listed in their literature. I've seen them. I think the drag might help slightly over the streets, but 15" rims with the 28 inch tires is the way to go for consistent hook.

Thanks guys... not sure what I'm gonna do... maybe I should stay with the existing rims and do what you guys have done and thats have a closer look at suspension tuning. At my power range there's no viable reason I shouldn't be able to figure out how to get 26" ET streets to hook a little more consistently.
