Default Re:**Opinions wanted about Canfield heads.

Hello

I'm posting this question for the benefit of someone I'm thinking of trading My Canfield heads with. They are 195cc with extensive porting done to the intake side, and only polishing on the exhaust. There flow sheet can be viewed on my website http://www.megapathdsl.net/~mimsk/Pi.../flowsheet.jpg

These heads are 1yr old and have about 35 passes and fewer than 1000 miles on them. I want to get rid of them because my new 383 with flat tops and a zero deck required a larger chamber. So I bought some AFR 210's milled to 72cc's.

He would be using them on a L98 buildup. He likes to auto X and road race. If anyone has knowledge or has heard anything they'd like to share. Let’s hear it!

Thanks

Kelvin Mims

I was wondering why you lowered your c/r with big cc heads? Does your cam choice cause ping?

I have these installed in my new 383. I am told by many they are some of the best heads out there. Flow quite well. I had the chambers blended only.

What are you selling them for? :flag

Gkul

With the Canfields on my 383 the compression would have been around 11.62. That's a little higher than I wanted. I used them on my 406 wich had D-cups "yea baby" hahaha so the compression was lower.

I'm thinking around $1500/$1600. They were ported to fit a 1206 and they don't backup anymore. I really like them as they are still brand new and the port work is a thing of beauty. I got my AFR 210's flowed and found that my Canfields are within 10cfm at .600
