Default Z Z 502 Oil Pan

Will the stock ZZ502 oil pan fit in a 72 vet frame? Posed this in tech and got no response so thought I would try my luck here.
Thanks,
Norm

The crate 502 comes with a 6 quart truck oil pan that extends about 3 inches below the bellhousing- It WILL "fit." But most feel you're asking for trouble because it hangs down too low. I believe the Truck oil pan that comes w/ it is almost 10" in depth

Pans I've seen recomended-

Milodon #30955 7-Qt plus filter
Moroso #20411 6-Qt plus filter
GM #12495360 4-Qt plus filter
There is also a "affordable" Stef's aluminum oil pan which I believe is 6qt + filter. However-affordable is about $400!

Thanks Richard,
I finally called several manufacturers and ended up with a Milodon #30975 six quart and #18202 pick up. This was from a very good tech guy and it fit perfect. Pricey at $352.00 and that included shipping. Moroso said they had nothing but was willing to build one if I supplied all the dimensions? Seems like the power steering and ground clearance were big issue with them. Price would have been out of sight. The GM pan was too small for my purpose since the car will see drag time. Did not think of Stef but doubt if they would have been any cheaper. Maybe this thread will answer the same question for next poor soul with similar issues.
Thanks again,
Norm
