Default McJack's Rams Horns?

Can anyone make an estimate of how the 1 5/8" McJacks Rams Horns would do agains the stk RH? I like the idea of stk fit and better ground clearance. I have 280 rwhp now, I want 300. Any comments?

Default No Comments?

I find it hard to believe that after 71 views, no one has an opinion educated or otherwise. My orignal duals w/H pipe are smashed and dented. Most tech articles show 10+ hp for a new exhaust. I can't help but think that anything has to be better than the orignal RHs w/smog tubes. Many of the more experienced members can calculate an engines output down to a gnats azz, what's up?

Hi there, I got some McJacks Handmade Headers on my 82. I can tell that right off the bat, after replacing these, I noticed a nice horsepower improvement, and much better sound. When I was in the process of buying these Jack showed me a set of his next to some stock cast iron manifolds. What he pointed out is that on the stock manifolds, when the exhaust air shoots out of the motor it hits the back of the header and has to make a sharp 90 degree turn to exit, whereas on his, the headers are rounded and flow much more smoothly. Not sure about dyno testing, but I'm definitely happy I bought these!

We just call Headers like those "Shortys".
