Default Anybody built a C5R 427 with C5R heads?

I know most 427s use LS6 or heads other than C5R. In particular the .090 heads which GM sent to a few dealers and racing teams. I would assume Katech experimented with the 090s too. The point is the 090 C5R head has a very small combustion chamber and could cause compression problems if used with the wrong pistons.

Anyone seen a case where this happened or have other experiences with 090 or similar C5R heads??

Try this. How much dish would the pistons have to have to get the comp. ratio down to run street gas? Any ideas? The ones I've got have about a 1/4" of dish. We are running static comp. checks now, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has run into this?

Default Magnetic Selective Ride Control

I have a question on the Magnetic Selective Ride Control? Does anyone know what the difference is in a vet with that or the Z51 package? Does the normal driver need the MRC or will they be just as happy with the Z51? I was told that the MRC doesn't even come in to action until you hit 90 mph or more is that true?

I don't think that's true. Now, tell me what you know about C5R heads and their small combustion chamber.
