Hood Clearance Issue

I have problems with my '70 coupe with basically a Edelbrock Performer RPM engine. It's a 350 4-bolt high nickle block(out of a 70 Camaro) punched .40 over,11:1 forged pistons,Performer RPM cam,heads,and intake with a Demon 750 carb.I have a MSD 6 AL with a MSD Pro-Billet Dist. I also have a Be Cool aluminum radiator With dual electric fans covering 100% of finned area, Edelbrock high volume water pump. Initial timing is set @ 14 BTDC. I also have Snow Performance methanol/water injection system that I would like to install, but I have a hood clearance problem if I were to put an adaptor plate between the intake manifold and the carburator. Since the Performer RPM intake manifold is a dual plane, drilling and tapping for the single injector nozzle that came with the Snow Performance kit would be impossible due to the split between the upper and lower plane. What are my alternatives?

Another issue I have is keeping the car from overheating. I've done everything in my power that I know of to keep the car cool, but it seems to want to overheat on an average Southern California day (70-80 degrees)--especially at an idle. I do have an air dam. but it doesn't
seem to help much.

I'm out of ideas. Anyone with any information would be much appreciated.

Are you running standard size pulleys? I have heard instances where non stock pulleys make the water pump to fast to cool efficiently no matter the thermostat........ I am not sure on C-3's but on C-2"s and especially at idle you must have the full shroud to stay cool

I had a March undersized pulley system until I realized what a mistake that was. Coolant circulation was minimal which added to the overheating problem and the alternater couldn't keep up with battery drainage from headlights, tail lights etc... power steering was difficult. So I returned to stock size pulleys.
It seems to get poor circulation toward the rear cylinders.(I have a infrared heat gun) No shroud. Do I Need one with dual electric fans?

For sure if you were in a midyear I would say that it is absolutely necessary at idle and low speed and I cannot see a reason that would not hold true in a C3

The dual fans (in front of the rad) help to keep air moving over the radiator surface but do not move it over the motor.

I think if you put a shroud on and position your main fan correctly within it (you are using one?) your problem will go away
