This 11" clutch is behind a 500 hp engine early 70's car.
I used a Centerforce dual friction clutch last year and had some problems with it but I had a tranny problem at the same time that could have cause the clutch problem to happen but hard to tell. I am now looking at other options.
The car is not used for drag racing, just a driver with an occasional blast thats only taken out maybe 5 miles a month and to car shows etc..
My options so far Ive looked at are a Zoom and a Hayes. I might even have another go with the Centerforce but maybe drop down to the CF ll one instead.
Would love some input on peoples experiences with any and all brands.
Hayes is good. Centerforce 2 would also be good. LUK is a good option too. I now run the Centerforce DF and would rather have purchased the Centerforce 2. I do not have much torque and the DF is rather agressive. Not that I can't drive it as-is but I think the CF-2 would be the best choice for my setup (stock DZ 302).
I used to run McLeod back in the '80's but I went through quite a number of them. Probably cooking them too much. The guys at my local sped shop steered me away from the Zoom as they had issues with them at the time.
