Default Need reputable machine shop in north Atlanta area.

Originally posted in C3 forum. Maybe better luck here.

Suffice it to say I am not happy about this situation, but never the less I need a machine shop to inspect and possibly remachine my matching #'s 427. You can see this thread for more info.

Also I need to decide wether to have the machine shop do the assembly or let the guys at my shop take care of things. Also, probably need to decide on what type of pistons to get. Hopefully most of the other parts are still fine.
Thanks,

Tommy Goza at Goza Machine in Acworth...down from where Days Chevy used to be on Main St. Never tried him. I am told he is "the best"...but he is HIGH and SLOW.

I just had my 454 done by Ty Bobo in Canton, ga. - Pine Ridge Automotive.... Hwy 20 E. Mostly a truck shop. He kept it 2 weeks....vatted block....polished crank...new crank / cam bearings...checked rods...bored .30 over with new flat tops and rings. Assembled basic short block. I will put my own camshaft etc in. Most important, he didn't remove my VIN # 00036!
Out the door > $860.00 ????

Good Luck...it's getting hard to find a good shop anymore. I need to find a good radiator shop...you know one north of Marietta?
