But I'm wondering how many runs you could expect to get out of it. And how much $$$ would be required to keep it properly cared for and fed?

That's a definite beast. My next one will be in that neighborhood, but I don't think I'll go as large. Pretty unstreetable. You can use a monster block Merlin & safely go up to about 700 CI. With a twin turbo or the dual Whipple I have now that would be good for at least 2,500 HP or so....

Re: Anybody lookin for a REALLY big block!!!!!!????? (X-FireChance)
It's all relative. If I was building a Chevette with 150 HP, 2,500 would be a HUGE deal. Since I've already put together a system capable of close to 2,000 at higher boost, an extra 500 HP isn't that big a deal. Finding a way to use this much power, well - that's another story...

Yeah, I guess everything is realative. Altough to be honest I'd happily settle for an engine halfway between yours and the 150 HP Chevette. That still puts me well over 1,000.

Lol... 2500hp.... that's nothing.....    whatever... damn.. that's some power... and that block is huge.... i'd like to see someone strap that into their vette.... ha! First of all, I don't think that would fit.. at ALL... second... what would that do to the front suspension...
Nice to look at though!!

I have the perfect solution for the front suspension problems, I just started a company that manufactures bushings for just such an application. They are made with a new type of material never before used in suspension applications, it's called concrete. For the stiffest ride possible use my Concrete bushings! :jester
