Default Vette Doctors C5R C5 Runs 8.77 @ 158 1st full pass on spray!

That’s right, in only my second time physically sitting in John's Monster, I ran an 8.77@158 with a lackluster launch and only a 1.44 short time. I was definitely not the smoothest driver of the incredible car but I did my best. This was one of the first times I can honestly say that the car really humbled me. My driving really did not do this car justice.

Carmen, Dennis and Joey have done an awesome job with this motor and deserve the reputation of being the absolute best at building these big cube, big horsepower
FASTEST C5s IN THE COUNTRY!

Congrats to Kenny in his Vette Doctors 418 NOS Z06! He was yet another Vette Doctor's C5 in the nines when he ran a 9.9 @ 142!!

I know John G's C5R has a very low 8 in her! The car pulls like a freight train. It really does deserve the Title of Worlds Fastest Gen3 Corvette

My thanks to John Gorman for letting me have the privilege to pilot his Monster!

Great Job John and The Vette Doctors!!!

I have I think two of your runs on video, but when I tried converting I lost the sound. So back to the drawing board.

As far as your driving, I don't think any of us would have done better than you did(except Keith or Mike M).

Bill

You've got some "Big one's" going that quick/fast. I know you're used to going 9's...but that must have put a big grin on your face running that speed.

Nice job.

Nice run Bill. The whole day was a lot of fun. I will get my seat time in that "steamer" and then the fun will begin. Thanks for the food and the advice on the way over to the staging lanes, I think next time I will crazy glue my helmet on and put an extra depends in the glove box...

Brian 3.5 is not very large. You should see the 18 MB ones I have in 720 x 480.

I have the same run from the top end. Kind of a fly-by
8.77 run from the top end, very small file .3 MB cause it was so quick only half track

Thanks Aaron!

I was so honored when John Gorman asked me to help him out and drive his car. John is a great guy and dedicated to both the series and The Vette Doctors Racing Family. He had a conflict (his son's football game) but really wanted his car to be at the final Vette Doctor Pro 8 so he offered the opportunity to me.

It was my pleasure and I hope to one day do it again. Even tho I do miss the clutch !

We will be going out a few more time this year. Hope to run low 8s.
Then we will pull the motor & build a new power plant for next year.
Billy wants Johns Engine. he's been sleeping on our door step for the last week. he won't go home. We can't get billy to stop calling.
He will never be the same.

He's probably been having wet dreams while he's been sleeping on the door step.
