Vette Doctor Pro 8 + Keith Valone WOW
This Saturday at the Vette Doctor Pro 8 race we will have an invasion from SUNNY FLA. as Keith Valone and his red C4 makes it way to Old Bridge TWP Raceway Park for a rare appearance.
For those of you that were in SC last February all remember the final round of Pro 8 between Keith Valone and Paul Major with Keith coming out on top with a sub 9.0 time. There will be great air at E-town this weekend and I'm sure we'll see the same type of performance.
So be there Saturday as the ESC CORVETTE CHALLENGE RETURN TO RACEWAY PARK.
Yes, this Vette Doctors Pro 8 should be something else and could be the best to date!
Mike Mitchell's incredible C4 that has quickly become the crowd's favorite will be the odds on favorite to repeat 3 in a row! Mike should be running deep into the 8's and I am sure he has some surprises up his sleeve!
Keith and Carmen have been trying to put together this trip ever since our great time in SC. Keith Valone's awesome C4 is was the hit of the tuner shoot out in SC. Keith has run deep into the 8's before and has tweeked his beast for the past 6 months to eek out even more power!
John Gorman's Vette Doctors C5 has been the under dog favorite in the past 2 Vette Doctor's Pro 8's but has not been able to run down Mike's C4. Carmen and Dennis have worked a little over time on The Beast and added a little power adder to try and close the gap. It's John's maiden voyage on the new set up so anything is possible. Maybe 8's???? You never know .
Major Spray has been busting Carmen and Dennis' buts for the last week to eek out even more RWHP out of his 422. Paul is shooting for 8's or broke. Paul run consisten low 9's and 8's are not out of the question! Never count this multiple Pro 8 winner out.
Angelo has his C3 prep'd and ready for bear. If you thinks Paul's mid-year is a wild ride you have not seen anything until you see Angelo peddle this shark into the low 9's!!
Brian Miller has a new package that he will debuting. This thing makes some major steam and should put up some nice numbers once the car is set up on the track.
John Carter with either his Cartek NOS powered blue vert or new Cartek 427 NOS Z06 is always a formidable threat!
Kenny Skforza with his NOS fed 408 should put up some good numbers
Mike Romain is always a threat with his very reliable NA Cartek 441 powered C5. Mike run's consistant low 10's and with the cool fall weather could be looking at another nice 9 sec NA pass!
Then there are rumors of a few new hot cars comming form ECS's Doug and Chris! It has been pretty hush hush from that camp so anything is possible. Cartek also has a 1000 RWHP twin Turbo car that could also steal the show!
All in all this should be a great day of racing and we could have a very competitive field!
Rumor has it that last Thursday night in 80 degree weather Spltwindow ran 8.39 @ 169 mph on a small shot of spray. Knowing him, I know he has more up his sleeve. There's going to be a bunch of great racing and cool cars for what's got to be the best race yet. Don't take Spltwindow to lightly, he's loaded for bear and carring one hell of a big stick
Should be fun, I remember SC
We will have our own quick 8 Friday..........60 degrees.........hum.... Sounds like a future Mason/Dixon Vette challenge brewing
I am talking to ZIP now
Keep it together @ straight guys
Keith Valone in the title means nothing to someone who does not know who he is.
Edgar, But after Saturday they will Remember who Keith Valone is.
Don't miss the BEST pro 8 ever.
I was there and saw Keith run in Aiken That was with the 540 block which if I am not mistaken has since been replace by a 632.
Still with all of that we were going to put him in our rear view mirror with a LS block! Alas the chop shop is not yet done grinding and it will have to wait until another day. Can you say 7 seconds in an LS1 block car??
This has been so stealthy a project that It is not even at the base ECS shop and I as the owner have only seen it twice (I had to be blindfolded so I could not remember where it was).
All I can say is too bad it won't be ready for Saturday but it is definately coming!!
WOW!!! I can't wait for Saturday. The shootout should be something to watch. A definite camera day.
Thanks to the Vette Doctors and The Corvette Challenge Guys for putting together a great event

That would be fantastic!!! We could not be ready for the last pro 8 this year but a chance to come to another shoot out to kick off 2005!!!!
Last year we saw LPE, Vette Doctors, Cartek, ECS, Splitwindow and I am sure I am missing some other great tuners and Cars in Aiken. I am sure we could top that and take the competition up another level!
We're all looking forward to a fantastic weekend of racing and getting a chance to see everyone again from the SC Challenge. I just spoke to Keith and he is in Jersey and on the way to harass Carmen and the rest of the guys at Vette Doctors. The Corvette Connection/Valone Motorsports '96 vette will be around the Vette Doctors shop all day today as well.
The rest of us from Corvette Connection are arriving tomorrow morning and ready to !
