Stupid thing happened at the track this weekend

This weekend at Great Lakes Dragaway a really stupid thing happened. Some guy in the pits decide they needed an extra garbage can around. They just emptied a 55 gal drum into their alcohol car. So he took a blow torch to this "empty" drum to cut the top off for a gargage can. Now even if there was less than a 1/2 cup of fuel left, that thing was full of vapor. Well, as you can guess, the can blew up straight in the air about 200 feet or more causing him, and a small boy walking by, severe burns. The can then landed in the stands causing severe injuries to another person. All three had to be flown out by helicopter. What was that guy thinking?? Don't try this at home! And he was a track employee... That's comforting to know. Hopefully the innocent bystanders that he nearly murdered make a full recovery.
