Any video?
I do have one video from Super Chevy like 2 years ago. It is not the best quality and the guy didn't even get the time video'd! It was the first pass the car went in the 10's too. I beat my buddie's 66 Chevelle!

I can email it to you if you want to see it. I am not sure how to post video on the forum!?!?!?!

How much does it weigh?
It weighs about 3,180 lbs. It has all the original glass in it. All of the body panels are metal, except the 4" cowl hood. Even the bumpers are metal! Interior is all there except the back seat. Of course we took the inner fender wells out. Still has the old, heavy drum brakes all around too! Soon to go to a nice Wilwood disk set up!

The motor is a 454 bored .030 over. It only has 10.5:1 compression with a fairly small HYDRAULIC cam for now. Holley 830 car, Edelbrock strip dominator single plane intake, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum rectangular heads (box stock), Hooker super comp headers.

The transmission is a turbo 400 with a B&M pro stick shifter. 4,500 stall convertor. Has a trans brake. Rear end is a Ford 9" with 4:29 gears, 35 spline Moser axles, and a heavy duty Moser Nodular case. Uses a 3 link ladder bar set up from Chris Alston Chassisworks. 8 pt cage with full hoop. Weld Aluma stars with 30X10 slicks.

I found it best to leave the line on the trans brake at 3,400 rpm. Car lifts the wheels about 4-6 inches! Added the bars from the cage to the front frame, so I am thinking it will go a little higher! Goes straight as an arrow. Runs pretty consistent at 10.87-10.90. 60' at 1.423 or so. Now if I could just cut a light!

Thanks for the comments guys!

-Rick

Sounds like a bullet proof set-up, I love a full bodied race car.
Now if my 331 cid would just die in my 68' Camaro.........
I built it too good ....in 1985

That was the idea! Someday I think I will put a nice Doug Nash 5 speed in there. then I can start breaking stuff!
