Default Outlaw Real Street Rockingham, NC - SSCA Rules (???)

I have never drag raced before and have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone can answer.

I would like to run the 1/4 mile race mentioned above -> http://www.rockinghamdragway.com/flyers/2004/may16/ , but fear that SSCA rules might exclude me because I have a supercharger. Can anyone tell me if I would be disqualified from this event?

Last question... Would SSCA rules require me to wear a helmet and/or have rollbars in a convertible.

Thanks

According to the rules I read turbo/supercgargers are not permitted...it also looks like they defer to the host track for safety requirements...you would certainly need a rated helmet since you have a vert and if you run fast enough a rollbar and 5 point harness... good luck

p.s. here's alink to the rules.. http://www.sscaoutlaw.com/realstreetrules.html

Thank you for the link. Bummer, looks like I'm SOL.

Guess, I need to wait for a test-n-tune night to see what I'm able to do. Darn, just installed a cam and line lock looking for a little edge. Guess I will have to be a spectator at this event.

glad to see there is a dragstrip not too far from Raleigh as I might be relocating there shortly
