Default Taking my Z to the 1/4 mile again... any advice on the 1-2 shift?

I went last year w/ just my Vortex and ran a best of 12.92 @ 114.1

My best 60-ft was a crappy 2.28 from rolling off idle. When I hit 3000 rpms hte tires would break and I'd get bad hop, then I'd hit second and it'd hop so bad I had to let out of it. The track was very crappy (Richmond Dragway)

On Friday I'm heading over to VMP in Dinwiddie and won't settle for anything less than <12.5.

I've read Rangers writeup about racing a Z06 and am going to try that. Leav about 2000 w/ a little clutch slip then short shift 1st at 6000 rpms w/ a speed shift. Does this sound about right as a baseline to start with?
